I have had the more expesive pot sets and to be honest they hold up better but I much prefer the simply line. The rubber handles are great and food cookes evenly everytime. The non-stick coating is good however it does scratch off if you use metal utensils (which my husband has not knowing). Overall I like this line and would reccomend them

My husband and I bought this set as part of our Christmas present to each other. I'd carefully reviewed many other brands of cookware and decided Calphalon was the best for us. We have a new ceramic cooktop and Calphalon was rated among the best for these surfaces. Because the pans are heavy, they heat quickly and evenly. The weight of the pans could be a consideration for some people, but we handle them fairly easily. We also like the handles on the lids. They have a coating over the metal so they remain cool to the touch. The larger pans have two handles for better balance when straining off liquids, etc. Clean-up is very quick. Calphalon is sold in many venues including department stores and online. Be sure to shop around for the best prices. My husband found this set for $200 on the Calphalon site, well under Kohl's sale price. We were amazed that we also received a 12 inch bonus pan with a lid. Shipping was free and the order came before the intended date. The only negative is that we would have preferred that the 8 inch and 10 inch omelette pans came with lids. One of the pan lids included in this set fits so, unless you need a lid for both, you're only short one lid. We easily bought the lids with a gift certificate. We love this set!
