Before I bought this rice cooker I heard people saying that a good one(costs more than 100 bucks) would make a better rice, this one just does the same work as my $15 rival, it has more function though.

It isn't often that you get even more than you expected when you buy a product. I'm usually at least mildly disappointed in the performance of most of the appliances that I've bought. The Sanyo 10 cup rice cooker is a huge exception. I always thought I did a pretty good job of cooking rice in a pot on the stove top. I was wrong! I didn't know rice could be so good. And not just rice, but grits and oatmeal cook up perfectly using the Porridge setting. The machine is also a slow cooker with two heat settings. I measured the temperature that it maintains in the pot on the LOW setting as 186 degrees fahrenheit. That's pretty much perfect. The high setting maintains a steady simmer, also perfect.
If you need a good rice cooker, why not get one that's also a great slow cooker? Also, the price is very reasonable compared to some of the other 'fuzzy logic' cookers and they don't even have slow cooker settings.
Do yourself a favor, buy this thing!
