    Preparing the Freezer Bowl:

The freezer bowl must be completely frozen before you begin your recipe. The double insulated freezer bowl contains a cooling liquid between the bowl walls to create fast and even freezing. The length of time needed to reach the frozen state depends on how cold your freezer is – for best results, place the bowl to the rear of your freezer where it is coldest. In general, freezing time is between 6 hours and 22 hours. To determine whether the bowl is completely frozen, shake it. If you do not hear liquid moving, the cooling liquid is frozen. For the most convenience, leave your freezer bowl in the freezer at all times so you can take it out any time for immediate use.

      Would purchase again
    by Carol (Webster, NH)  9/4/2014
After using it the first time, we learned things that will make the second batch more successful. I'm thinking that it probably is ready a couple minutes sooner than when it LOOKS like it's ready, just because the dessert in the bottom of the bowl is colder than what you see when you look in the top. So, when it looked right in the window, the bottom of the bowl was more frozen so would not come out, so next time we'll stop when it still looks a little less firm. I wish the directions were more clear about a couple things: Do you turn the machine OFF before dispensing, or leave it on? Evidently it has to be on for the toppings to dispense, but it seems like you have to dispense the ice cream and toppings at the same time? That takes some coordination!

Tried to use, followed directions, and both times a failure. Waste of time and money.
