    As a fairly new stay at home mom, I have learned about the art or cooking. I learned that its extremely important to have a heavy sharp knife and to use the steel to maintain the knife's sharp edge often.. I cannot emphasis enough how important maintanice is on knives effectiveness and longevity. So far this knife set is serving me well in all I do in the kitchen. The only drawback are that the handles leave a chalky residue. Not sure exactly why, but it's only noticeable to me.

    These are the first new knives I've purchased in forty years. I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. I loved my old knives, but there is no comparison. These are so comfortable to hold, so sharp, so functional. I love the labeling on the ends of the handles. When I reach for a knife, I always know exactly which one I'm getting.

    All of the knives are very sharp with good weight to them. Handles are nicely contoured and feel comfortable to grip.
