I have had one of these can opener, knife sharpeners for about 20 years and it is still going strong. I use the can opener every day for sharpening and opening cans. My neice has trouble with her hands so I bought me a new can opener and gave her my old one. She only opens cans once in awhile. I open at least 4 cans a day to feed my pets. I can snap out the blade and put in the sink to soak or clean . I wipe the blade with every opening also.

Great Can Opener!

I am very happy with my new can opener! I joked to my kids that I feel like a princess now, lol. I can walk away and trust it to completely sever the lid and hold the lid on the magnet until I get back around to it and I don't have to fishing for it!! I had lived with a dysfunctional one for so long that this seems luxurious. Oh, and I love the sleek modern look achieved with the glossy black and shiny chrome. I also love that the opener detaches with the push of a button so that it can be washed. It also has a good knife sharpener on the back, nothing hi-tech but it puts a good edge on the knives.

opening cans

I have found that when you use this product to open a can no matter the size, it leaves medal slivers from the lid. I do not like this can opener at all.
