WOW! What a difference a few dollars make. I have owned several inexpensive blenders that were basically worthless. This blender is fabulous...I haven't even tried it on high yet. Smoothies take about 5 seconds to blend perfectly. Love it.

Finally! a blender that blends. We all want a blender that blends and that's what the Waring MegaMix Bar Blender does. It doesn't trick you into thinking it offers many functions and instead lives up to it's promise to blend...yes ice too, quickly and effortlessly. Very pleased!

Great for smoothies. I did read that it was noisy and it is. Use smaller ice cubes for better results. Overall a great purchase if you want quality smoothies with no ice chunks.
