The biggest problem is use of rubber and synthetic materials in it. It would have been great if it were made of metal only.

Sometimes when you purchase an item that you have not seen in the store, you do not know exactly what you are going to get. I was pleasantly surprised by the sturdy brushed stainless steel look of this ladel and could tell it was quality. I like the cup measure marks on the inside.
